Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP100)

RDP100 Redispersible polymer powder is a free-flowing, white powder obtained by spray drying of high-polymer emulsion. It has a good redispersible ability and can be emulsified into stable polymer-emulsion again when mixed with water. Its chemical property is exactly the same as the initial emulsion. The membrane will form after the moisture evaporated to possess high flexibility, good climate resistance and high adhesive to various substrates.
Especially recommended to be used in grades of tile adhesives. It greatly increases the adhesion between mortar and base materials and decorative materials, endows excellent adhesion, drop resistance, impact resistance and abrasion resistance to the mortar.

Functions of RDP

1. Improve mortar performance: The powder particles fill the mortar cavity, increase the density of the mortar, and improve wear resistance.

2. Improve construction and work-ability: There is a lubricating effect between the polymer powder particles, which can improve the construction and work-ability of the mortar.

3. After the redispersible powder as an organic binder forms a film, it can increase the cohesion of the mortar.

4. Prevent mortar cracking and improve the weather resistance and freeze-thaw resistance of the mortar.

5. In the External insulation and finish systems(EIFS), the redispersible powder is used to bond mortar and plaster mortar to improve bonding strength and crack resistance.
